Public Library Customer Quotes

Vinton Public Library Vinton, IAVirginia Holsten Library Director

"I do so love your product and everyone that I have had contact with has been most gracious and patient with me.
Kylan was amazing! I have never heard a better trainer.... I know we all benefited from his presence in the library. His calmness and Patience when one of us was lost was extremely helpful to the entire learning process.... The very best part, however, and this is big to me, is that my staff listened, learned and retained just about everything that Kylan covered. An awesome feat, indeed!"

I have been very impressed with the customer service we've received...it's so nice to call and talk to a real person
immediately! We just switched from Athena to Atriuum in January and have been very pleased with
the outstanding technical support, and the responsiveness of the company to suggested enhancements.

Having used Concourse and eZcat for several years, the next logical step was to provide our catalog to our patrons at home through the Internet. WebOPAC is the best product I've seen available for the money, especially for small libraries with tight budgets. It's user-friendly... and easy to navigate. From an administrator's viewpoint, it's easy to configure and maintain. I would highly recommend this product to any library looking to provide even better service to their patrons.

The Book Systems team was super-helpful during our
conversion. Whenever we encountered problems (and of
course, there will always be problems during a conversion!))
they bent over backwards to help us. No question was too
trivial, and no problem insurmountable.
Our trainer was excellent, knowledgeable, courteous - and
incredibly patient!
He made everything look so easy! And of course by the time
we went live, we were scrambling to remember everything he
had shown us. But that's where the Tech support team kicks
in. They're always there - and always able to answer our
questions.
The feature of Atriuum that I most appreciate is the quick
cataloging. We scan the ISBN number and ALL the information
pops into place instantly. All our new records look
consistent, and we no longer worry about misspellings.

Guntersville Public Library Guntersville, ALBeth Wheeler Dean Library Director

In August, 2008, I became the director of the Guntersville Public Library.
I inherited Book Systems as an integrated library system. The library was
still using Concourse. The first thing that people told me was that they
wanted to be able to use the library online. Book Systems was great through
the whole conversion process. The cost was reasonable and the upgrade went
seamlessly. Book Systems' employees were well-trained, pleasant, and
helpful. I have received excellent customer service and a product that
works day in and day out. For small libraries, it is an excellent choice.

Sioux Center Public Library Sioux Center, IADavid Netz Library Director

In August, the Sioux Center Public Library staff was very happy with how smoothly & quickly our catalog data was transferred to the servers and network in the new library building. We closed for service in the evening, and by the next morning, our network administrator, working with Book Systems support, had Atriuum up and running in the new building, ready to go without any glitches or loss of data.
We also appreciate being able to add extra content such as images, media clips, scanned documents, URLS, and book covers to bibliographic records, to offer a richer search experience for patrons using the OPAC. For example, we've included images of prints in our art print collection, enabling it to be browsed online. The OPAC integrates well with our website, and many of our patrons enjoy the ability to log in from home and renew or reserve items.

Cullman County Public Library Cullman, ALMax Hand Library Director

The Cullman County Public Library System uses Atriuum by Book Systems, and
was one of the first libraries in the country to do so. We like it because
it is more affordable than a lot of the ILS out there, and it does what it
is supposed to without a lot of bells and whistles. Atriuum has made it
easy and affordable to expand library automation to our small, previously
manual-system branch libraries. Support is always prompt whenever there is
a problem, and they are always open to suggestions to make the system
better. Coming from another system where it took a rocket scientist to
figure out how to run reports, I find the reports interface is very easy to
use. I especially like the EZCat cataloging software. As a sometimes
cataloger, I find that it makes the chore of finding and editing
bibliographic records a great deal easier, eliminating the need to look up
in a print manual what rarely used tags and subfield delimiters are. I'd
recommend Atriuum by Book Systems to anyone.`
